Jornalismo e literatura na internet

Since 1995 I have tried to dedicate at least a part of my academic and teaching activities to accompany the parallel development, yet divergent of two discursive typologies: Online Journalism and hyperfiction literature, having experimented with the teaching and production of both and, specially, trying to make a bridge between the two matrixes to understand the specialties of each one of them, beginning with an comparative effort. Established at the same moment in the new midiatic support, and thus subjected to the same technological possibilities and limitations, Online Journalism and hyperfiction follow, through these ten years, very diverging destinies. What explanations could be suggested for such divergence? How to explain the success of webjournalism, that spreads itself through the Internet and multiplies models of news availability with the ever-growing utilization of the specific characteristics of the telematic support (hypertextuality, interactivity, multimidiality, personalization, memory, continual update), while the prose fictional text seems to be stagnated or in latency, still not having found expressive forms suitable to its most fulfilling development in the new environment of production made possible by the telematic webs. Contrarily to poetry, that has adapted very well in the Internet, hyperfiction has still not rooted itself in the new support. Why? These are questions that rout the present article.Desde 1995 eu tenho tentado dedicar pelo menos uma parte de minhas atividades acadêmicas e docentes a acompanhar o desenvolvimento paralelo, porém divergente de duas tipologias discursivas: o Jornalismo Online e a literatura de hiperficção, tendo experimentado com o ensino e produção de ambas e, especialmente, tentado fazer uma ponte entre as duas matrizes para entender as especificidades de cada uma delas, a partir de um esforço comparativo. Estabelecidos num mesmo momento no novo suporte midiático, e portanto sujeitos às mesmas possibilidades e limitações tecnológicas, o Jornalismo Online e a hiperficção seguem, ao longo destes dez anos, destinos bastante divergentes. Que explicações poderiam ser sugeridas para tal divergência? Como explicar o sucesso do webjornalismo, que se alastra pela Internet e multiplica modelos de disponibilização de notícias com utilização cada vez mais ampla das características específicas do suporte telemático (hipertextualidade, interatividade, multimidialidade, personalização, memória, atualização contínua), enquanto o texto ficcional em prosa parece estar em estagnação ou latência, não tendo ainda encontrado formas expressivas condizentes com seu desenvolvimento mais pleno no novo ambiente de produção possibilitado pelas redes telemáticas? Contrariamente à poesia, que se tem ambientado bastante bem na Internet, a hiperficção ainda não se enraizou no novo suporte. Por que? Essas são questões que norteiam o presente artigo
