Africanidade, afrodescendência e educação

This paper deals with the theoretical framework of ethnicity in subjects related to education. The locus is on the African origins of Brazilians and on the history of Afrodescendents. It contemplates the development of the concepts of African and Afrodescendency and the relation of theses concepts with education in the perspectie of citizenship and democracy.O artigo discute a necessidade do referencial de etnia para trato das temática da educação dentro de uma perspectiva que contemple as origens africanas do povo brasileiro e a história dos afrodescendentes.
