Lamellar niobate K4Nb6O17 was synthesized by the solid state method and resulted in the trihydrate phase, exhibiting orthorhombic unit cell. K4Nb6O17·3H2O was protonated with HNO3 solution and then exfoliated with an expanding agent (TBAOH). The colloidal suspension obtained from the exfoliation underwent pH variation for the morphological study of the nanosheets. After adjusting the pHs, the nanosheets restacking process was performed with the desired structural characteristics (tabular or coiled).
