In today???s society it is imperative that educational leaders promote international mindedness in their schools. Globally competent students are able to investigate the world beyond their direct environment, recognize perspectives, communicate ideas effectively with diverse audiences, and take action to improve conditions. Students should have opportunities to learn in a way that will best prepare them for the path they choose (Boix-Mansilla & Jackson, 2011).
