Faulty Techniques that Hinder Development of Speed and Accuracy in Typewriting

The purpose of this study was (1) to detect faulty typewriting techniques students employ in an effort to improve instructional methods which should increase accuracy and speed; (2) to help improve and simplify technique presentation so that students say better understand procedures employed in learning to type; and (3) to assist students in acquiring adequate typewriting skill for initial job employment or personal use. Since speed and accuracy are the natural outgrowths of proper techniques, the need for more precised methods of teaching typewriting techniques is apparent, Instructional methods disclosed in this study should improve the ability to teach the art of correcting faulty typewriting techniques sad serve as resource information for typewriting teachers
