Oria de Villavelayo, the Enclosure and the Female Religious Mouvement in Castilian. (XII-XVI centuries)

Este trabajo, en su planteamiento más global, busca acercarse al fenómeno de la reclusiónfemenina en Castilla como expresión del llamado "movimiento religioso femenino".Quiere mostrar secuencias genealógicas de esta práctica social en fechas anteriores al sigloXII y posteriores al siglo XIV, desvinculando así su existencia de coyunturas históricaspuntuales y asociándola a factores sexuales de tipo estructural.El estudio concreto sobre Oria de Villavelayo sigue tres líneas de análisis: la santidadcomo vía de ejercicio y reconocimiento de autoridad femenina y como vehículo de perpetuaciónde memoria histórica; la recuperación de experiencia femenina en textos hagiográficosescritos por hombres; y la inadecuación de los esquemas clásicos del proceso ritual a la lógicade esta experiencia femenina.This study try to approach to the feminine seclusion in Castilian like expression of thefemale religious mouvement. It will show the genealogicals secuences about this socialpractice before the twelve century and no later of the fourteen century, gettings free of theconcrete historicals moments , and associating this event to the sexuals and structurals standards.The research of the Oria de Villavelayo's case has three analisies points: The holinesslike a way to get a female authority, social acknowledgement and historical memory; thesecond is the recovery of the female experience with hagiograficals texts written by men; thethird aspect is the distortion between the classicals formas of the ritual process and the logicof the female experience
