پیشینة تاریخی مبارزه با بیماری سل در جهان و ایران

The history of tuberculosis, as a fatal disease, dates back to before 2000 BC In old civilizations, tuberculosis was a diagnosed illness one of its samples is Hamurabian Ac which data back to the civilization of Bein Al-Nahrein more than 2000 years ago. Presented here, is a brief review of the historical aspects of tuberculosis in the world and Iran, mainly during the 19th and 20th centuries.پيشينة بيماري سل به‌عنوان يك بيماري مرگبار در جهان، به دورة باستان برمي‌گردد. در تمدن‌هاي كهن، سل يك ناخوشي شناخته شده بوده است. نمونة آن، قانون حمورابي مربوط به تمدن ميان‌رودان (بين‌النهرين) است، كه به بيش از دو هزار پيش از ميلاد بازمي‌گردد. درگذشته، پزشكان نامي مانند بقراط، جالينوس، رازي، ابن سينا و اطباي هند، چين و مصر در نوشته‌هاي پزشكي خود، سيماي باليني سل را ترسيم كرده‌اند. با اين همه، عامل عفوني بيماري سل، تا دهه‌هاي پاياني سدة نوزدهم ميلادي که «روبرت كخ»، باسيل سل را كشف كرد، همچنان ناشناخته مانده بود. در پي آن، تهيه واكسن ب.ث.ژ، ابداع آزمون تشخيصي مانتو و سپس پيدايش داروهاي ضد سل، سبب مهار بيشتر اين بيماري شده است، اما برخلاف اين پيشرفت‌ها، همانند بيماري آبله ريشه‌كن نشده و بيماري سل به‌ويژه، در كشورهاي در حال گسترش، هنوز ادامه يافته است. دو دشواري كنوني براي مهار آن، مقاومت باسيل سل به داروهاي رايج و بروز اين بيماري در مبتلايان به عفونت اچ.آی. وي (ويروس مولّد ايدز) است. آنچه در اين نوشتار آمده، تاريخچة مختصر سل در جهان و ايران، با تأكيد بر رويدادهايي است که در مبارزه با آن، در سده‌هاي نوزدهم و بيستم ميلادي رخ داده است
