Law enforcement officers sought the car's driver who ran from the scene just before the 6:30 p.m. collision. A passenger in the car, identified as John Simmons, 23, Lawton, was booked into the county jail on a complaint of public intoxication, according to Larry Punneo, investigating trooper, Punneo said officers.
