The absence of public policies that enable the increase of participation of black women in Brazil is a reality that contributes to in a large extent to the maintenance of inequalities and exclusion of significant strata of the Brazilian population in the construction of democracy because is by the active and representative political participation that realities inscribed within the rule of law can change. Based on this reality, the present article, through bibliographic review and analysis of empirical data research on the theme aims to discuss the lack of including intersectionality in the construction of measures that seek gender equality in national politics.
