Master's thesis in Global Development and Planning (UT505)This master's thesis will shed light on why conflict arises in the development of wind power in Norway, and how ideals for renewable energy meet local opposition. In our time as research assistants at WINDPLAN, the assignment was to review key documents to categorize various conflict areas that arise in the development of respective wind power plants. It became clear that definitions of the project, perspectives on the understanding of the conflict and procedural challenges were central to the conflict picture.
