ServelleDiscovered in 1999, the Paleolithic site of Dörölj I is situated in a detritic complex located on the west bank of the Eg river, a tributary of the Selenga. The geological study is focused mainly to reconstitution of the Pleistocene deposits covering a part of the Last Glacial (IOS 3-2) and that have been disturbed by periglacial modifications. The archaeological level, situated below the loess deposit is dated around 32-30 kyr BP and related to the Early Upper Palaeolithic period contemporaneous of the European Aurignacian.
