Worldwide dynamics of dairy offer and demand. Over the past ten years, the dairy industry was enjoying a steady growth, mainly in Asia (China, India and Pakistan), New Zealand, the United States and Brazil. However, like all main agricultural products, the market for dairy products was badly hit between 2007 and 2009. This caused a marked drop in consumption in the new consumer countries in Asia, and a contraction of the demand for cheese in developed countries.
