George Sternberg took this picture near Alberta, Canada, where he took many other photographs in this album. Along the bottom edge of the photograph are jagged outcrops of rocks. These outcrops are composed of layers of rock. The jagged outcrops are covered in shrubbery and grass. Running through the jagged area is a river bordered by flat land. This flat area features very few trees or shrubs. This river, the Red Deer River, runs across the upper-middle of the photo.
