027-01: 14-21 Ferryboat Crossing the Red Deer River

This black and white image depicts a ferryboat crossing of a river. In this picture are four horses, all of which are equipped with saddles. Two of the horses are off to the left of the photo, and the other two horses are to the right of the picture. Fifteen people consisting of eleven men, two women, and two boys, are also in the picture. In the middle of the picture sits a ferry connected to a rope-and-pulley system that crosses the river. A small wooden rowboat is floating to the left of the ferry. Right in front of the boat is an automobile with a ragtop surrounded by fourteen people. The ferryman is on the ferryboat and faces back across the river. Trees stand tall across the river and tower over the sage brush beneath them. The trees are also reflected off of the water. In the background sits a low outcropping off to the left of the picture. Three dogs are on the near shore, close to the automobile and horses.
