Analysis of the Horse-Fly Collection (Diptera, Tabanidae) of the Department of Natural Science of the Museum of Slavonia has identified a total of 2,223 specimens, out of which 32 species are classified into 7 genera and 2 subfamilies. To date, 78 species of this fly have been detected in Croatia. The Chrysopsinae subfamily is represented by the genera ofSilvius and Chrysops andthe Tabaninae subfamily by the genera of Atylotus, Hybomitra, Tabanus, Haematopota and Philipomyia. Out of the total number of horse-fly specimens, there are 15 male flies classified into 6 species while the other samples are females.
