Pētījuma mērķis bija veģetācijas eksperimentā kontrolētos apstākļos salīdzināt divu jūras piekrastei specifisku ceļteku sugu (Plantago coronopus un jūrmalas ceļteka) izturību pret pieaugošām NaCl koncentrācijām un jonu uzkrāšanās īpatnības. Augus audzēja automatizētās siltumnīcas apstākļos veģetācijas traukos. Abu ceļteku sugu augus apstrādāja ar pieaugošas Na+ koncentrācijas devu, katrā variantā bija pieci atkārtojumi. Eksperimenta beigās augu sadalīja morfoloģiski atsevišķās daļās, noteica to svaigo un sauso masu, ūdens satura, kā arī mērija Na+ un K+ jonu koncentrāciju, elektrovadītspēju un osmotisko aktivitāti. Abas ceļteku sugas spēja augt un vairoties jūras ūdens sāļuma apstākļos. Plantago coronopus ir uzskatāma par sāls tolerant...
