This study attempted to identify the profile and core competencies of Human Resource practitioners among selected banking, manufacturing, and governmental organizations. It also compared the core competencies across the different types of organizations to determine if differences exist. In addition, it identified the issues that arise in the practice of Human Resource Management. Employing a descriptive-comparative type of research, the data were gathered from 60 middle to upper level management Human Resource practitioners.
