United States Protected Cruiser Milwaukee , Front Angle on the Water

This color postcard features the front angle view of a white naval cruiser on the open water. A gold and white crest is on the front of the hull at the bow. The title along the top of the card reads 1295--U. S. Protected Cruiser Milwaukee. 600 officers and men. Length 424 feet. Main battery 14 guns. The back of the postcard identifies the item as a postcard printed in the United States and provides publisher information, as well as, indication for correspondence and address placement. A green one cent postage stamp is placed in the upper right and the card is postmarked June 1, 1910, Trans clk. The top portion of the postmark is missing.
