The objective of this study was to determine the relationship between the employees’ perception of the effectiveness of their manager and overall employee satisfaction in a community hospital. The data was from nine employee satisfaction surveys conducted by the study organization from 2002 to 2010. Effectiveness of manager was a seven question section of the survey and overall satisfaction was a four question section. The effectiveness of manager questions were based on six leadership principles that the organization used in training the managers.
