The objective of this analysis is to verify the existence of a relationship between Ear-Voice-Span (EVS) and linguistic pair in the process of simultaneous interpreting. The analysis was carried out on a corpus made up of 20 short speeches from the Plenary of the European Union: 10 for the French-Italian pair and 10 for the German-Italian one. The results showed a longer EVS in the speeches interpreted from German than from French.
