Et innendørs posisjoneringssystem for IDE ved bruk av Bluetooth Low-Energy Beacons

Denne oppgaven gir en løsning for utfordringen med nøyaktig innendørs posisjonering. Ved å bruke både kommersielle Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) beacons og våre egne Do It Yourself (DIY) beacons, ved hjelp av ESP32, klarte vi å sammenligne disse løsningene i forskjellige miljøer. Et todimensjonalt (2D) innendørs posisjoneringssystem (IPS) ble satt opp i gangen til Kjølv Egeland-bygget ved Universitetet i Stavanger. Test ble kjørt både før og etter implementering av IPS, og selv om vi bare var i stand til å kjøre en begrenset mengde tester, viser resultatene at en IPS kan være en levedyktig løsning.This thesis provides a solution for the challenge of accurate indoor positioning. Using both commercial Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) beacons and our own Do It Yourself (DIY) beacons, using ESP32’s, we were able to compare these solutions in different environments. A Two-dimensional (2D) Indoor Positioning System (IPS) was setup in the hallway of the Kjølv Egeland building at the University of Stavanger. Test were run both before and after implementation of the IPS, and even though we were only able to run a limited amount of tests, the results show that an IPS could be a viable solution
