SOME REFLECTIONS ON THE PROJECT OF THE NATIONAL SECURITY STRATEGY OF THE REPUBLIC OF MOLDOVA

Current realities, both on international and on regional level, are indicating a dramatic change of the situation, which is likely to jeopardize the security of states, particularly that of Moldova, therefore the rethinking and a new assessment and forecasting the possible risks, threats and vulnerabilities that could affect national security is appropriate and strictly necessary for the new national security Strategy. The new project developed and proposed for public debates, on the one hand, comes to solve some shortcomings in the national legal framework of national security, on the other hand, is a response to recent geopolitical developments in regional and domestic level which influence directly the national security state of the art. The National Security Strategy as a policy document is important in terms of implementing concrete actions that would reduce the range of threats, vulnerabilities and risks to national security
