ANALISIS KEANEKARAGAMAN ANGGREK (ORCHIDACEAE) KAWASAN HUTAN LINDUNG KECAMATAN BENDUNGAN KABUPATEN TRENGGALEK SEBAGAI SUMBER BELAJAR BIOLOGI

The Bendungan Protected Forest area of Trenggalek Regency is ± 731.59 hectares. The potential of natural wealth in this forest is orchids, but local residents still do not know the type of flora. It is hoped that residents can understand the structure, composition, ecological aspects and uses of plants so that they can participate in plant maintenance and protection. The purpose of this study was to display data on environmental conditions in the Bendungan protected forest area, analyze the calculated value of the orchid species diversity index in the Bendungan protected forest area, and determine the morphological structure of natural orchids. This research is broadly divided into three main parts: strengthening of research design and methods, preparation of fieldwork, data collection and data analysis. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling, and the method used is (cruise methods). The results showed that the environmental conditions of the Bendungan protected forest area are common conditions such as tropical forests in Indonesia, so that the environment is very suitable for plant life in the Bendungan protected forest area and the growth and development of various types of orchids. From the results of further identification of orchids found as many as 171 species. Then analyze the results of the calculation of the Shannon-Wiener Diversity Index (H') of 1.707 for the medium abundance category.
