The purpose of the research was to develop active didactic strategies for the improvement of academic performance in eighth-year students in the subject of Social Studies at the Belisario Quevedo Educational Unit in Latacunga, Ecuador. The process took place from a transformative approach, methodologically supported from the qualitative interpretation and the Action Research (IA) method. Active didactic strategies significantly improve the student's academic performance, in the sense that they favor a greater acquisition of knowledge and knowledge about Social Studies topics, by contributing to the appropriation of technologies, enlivening the motivation of students and promoting parental involvement in the educational process.El propósito ...
