The violation of maxims on eachprinciple results implicature that implied through the conversation. The data arecollected from the transcription of Bridesmaids movie written by Annie Mumoloand Kristen Wiig. The methodology used in this research is qualitative methodand also applied for this research Context theory, Cooperative Principles,Politeness Principles, and Conversational Implicature as the main theories. As thefindings, it is found that the most common type of non-observance cooperativemaxims appeared is flouting manner maxim while the politeness ones is violatingsympathy maxim. The implicatures shown by the characters in the research is dueto the different background knowledge among the characters and the socialdistance among them. In conclusion, the implicature appeared on the utterancethat is because of the non-observance of cooperative and politeness maxims, isused to avoid conflict and respect the interlocutors.viii, 78 hl
