Climate change and weather extremes are already impacting millions ofpeople, devastating crops, eroding coastlines, and threatening freshwater reserves.A continued build-up of greenhouse gas (GHG) pollution is expected to lead towarming, more acidic oceans and a continued rise in the sea level, changed weatherpatterns, and an even more significant threat to supplies of food, water, and fish(IPCC 2014).
