As a result of a growing global launcher market, the European launcher industry is facing major challenges. An efficient and intelligent propellant management on the launcher system is one of the key technologies for a successful mission performance. For the maturation of new technologies corresponding test activities are of essential necessity. The current paper gives an overview on the cryogenic tests on the behavior of liquid hydrogen in tank systems. Damping, stratification, draining and pressure evolution are investigated. The results show a strong effect of the pressurization gas composition on the pressure evolution
