The article aims to investigate the aesthetic path taken by Alberto Savinio: starting from unpublished letters to Lorenzo Montano, we will consider the youth novel La casa ispirata (1919) and Narrate, uomini, la vostra storia (1942). The analysis of the two writings aims to show how the archetypes present at the dawn of Savinio’s production continue to change without ever losing its true nature. The aesthetics of Savinio is basically the aesthetics of memory, ancestral, but also lived and contemporary.Keywords: Savinio – Montano – memori
