Mentiras sinceras ou o canto do grão de amor

This paper investigates how the poetics of the song, from the perspective of the voice of the subjects of songs, may assist in the discussion about the fluid categories of truth and falsehood. Intensifying the discussion, which is located on the border between fiction and reality, such characters are the possible proposition of the investigation, since they straddle the boundary. One of the most radical characteristics of the truth, cousin-sister of the reality, is to be uncatchable. The truth, in the sense of essence, is impossible to be perceived, as it proliferates in various unsuspected directions, hindering the apprehension of its source. However, supported by the hegemony of a philosophy that has basis in a voiceless logos, we have gone through times in search of a clear logic. Analyzing the speech, the three voice subjects - the songs: “Rock’n’Raul”, by Caetano Veloso, “Para mano Caetano”, by Lobão, and “Lobão tem razão”, also by Caetano, following the chronology of their composition – the goal is to understand the song (existential) within the three suggested songs: the metasong construction, what is behind the surface of what is sung. Or rather, what makes the surface to be profound. This essay is crossed by close and analytical reading of the essays in the book Criticism and Truth by Roland Barthes, and aims to launch contributions to what has been classified the semiotics of discourse.Este trabalho investiga como as poéticas da canção, a partir da perspectiva da voz dos sujeitos cancionais, podem auxiliar na discussão sobre as categorias fluidas da verdade e da mentira. Intensificando a discussão que se localiza na fronteira movediça entre ficção e realidade, tais personagens são a proposição possível de investigação, posto que se situam na fronteira. Uma das características mais radicais da verdade, prima-irmã da realidade, é ser incapturável. A verdade, no sentido de essência, é impossível de ser percebida, pois ela se prolifera em várias e insuspeitadas direções, dificultando a apreensão de sua origem. No entanto, amparados pela hegemonia de uma filosofia que tem na desvocalização do logos sua base, temos atravessado épocas em busca de uma lógica clara. Analisando o discurso, a fala, a voz de três sujeitos cancionais – a saber: os das canções “Rock’n’Raul”, de Caetano Veloso, “Para mano Caetano”, de Lobão e “Lobão tem razão”, também de Caetano, seguindo a cronologia de suas feituras –, o objetivo é entender os cantos (existenciais) sugeridos dentro das três canções: a construção metacancional, aquilo que está atrás da superfície do que é cantado. Ou melhor, aquilo que faz da superfície o profundo. Este ensaio é atravessado pela leitura atenta e analítica dos ensaios que compõem o livro Crítica e verdade, de Roland Barthes, e visa a lançar contribuições àquilo que se tem classificado de semiótica do discurso
