Robin Tawney Nichols describes her role in the Missoula environmental movement in the 1970s and 1980s. She talks about helping found the Montana Environmental Information Center (MEIC), as well as her lobbying efforts in Helena for environmental legislation. Nichols discusses the importance of the 1972 Montana Constitution, which contains an article guaranteeing Montana citizens the right to a clean and healthy environment. She also recalls the campaigns that MEIC undertook in the 1970s to further influence environmental policy making.
