Pietų Afrikos valstybės demokratizacija po konstitucijos priėmimo 1994 m.

The bachelor thesis analysis the concept of democracy and possible ways for the transition. The case of South African state is considered to be unique in the terms of democratization. The country faced with apartheid, economic collapse, unreliable external support, which lead to the transition. It is important to examine how democratic the state is functioning during the last decades, after the acceptance of Constitution in 1994. Therefore, the human rights and political inclusion, economic indexes and corruption are compared during the presidential terms of Nelson Mandela, Thabo Mbeki, and Jacob Zuma. The main goal of the research is to analyze the process of South African democratization during nearly first two decades after the acceptance of the Constitution in 1994. Moreover, to understand the propensity of the government: whether they are following the democratic or nondemocratic ways. The research problem of this work is to evaluate the democratic transition of South African state after the acceptance of Constitution in 1994. Furthermore, to examine the tendency of valid democratic indicators during the presidential terms of Nelson Mandela, Thabo Mbeki, and Jacob Zuma. The main conclusions of the work are that the democratic transition of South African state was successful. During the last decades the country has been developing according to the principles, assigned in the Constitution of 1994. Though it should be mentioned that such problems as corruption, unemployment, high rates of AIDs still remain unsolved.Bakalauro darbe analizuojama demokratijos samprata ir galimi pereinamojo laikotarpio būdai. Pietų Afrikos valstybės atvejis laikomas unikaliu demokratizacijos požiūriu. Šalis susiduria su apartheidu, ekonomikos žlugimu, nepatikima išorine parama, dėl kurios vyksta pokyčiai. Svarbu išnagrinėti, kaip demokratinė valstybė veikia per pastaruosius dešimtmečius po 1994 m. priimtos Konstitucijos. Kaip kito žmogaus teisės ir politinė įtrauktis, ekonominiai rodikliai ir korupcija. Lyginamos prezidentų Nelsono Mandelos, Thabo Mbeki, ir Jokūbo Zumos kadencijos. Pagrindinis tyrimo tikslas yra išanalizuoti Pietų Afrikos demokratizacijos procesą beveik per pirmuosius du dešimtmečius po Konstitucijos priėmimo 1994 m. Be to, svarbu suprasti vyriausybės nuostatą: ar jie laikosi demokratinių, ar nedemokratinių sprendimo būdų. Šio darbo tyrimo problema yra įvertinti Pietų Afrikos valstybės demokratinį pereinamąjį laikotarpį po to, kai 1994 m. buvo priimta Konstitucija. Be to, išnagrinėti galiojančių demokratinių rodiklių tendenciją prezidentų Nelsono Mandelos, Thabo Mbeki ir Jacobo Zumos kadencijų metu. Pagrindinės darbo išvados yra tai, kad Pietų Afrikos valstybės demokratinis pereinamasis laikotarpis buvo sėkmingas. Per pastaruosius dešimtmečius šalis vystėsi pagal principus, nustatytus 1994 m.
