In recent years, overcoming the negative impact of climate change on the productivity of cultivated plants and the creation of tolerant genotypes have become one of the strategic goals in agriculture. In that context, IFVCNS breeding teams work intensely on finding innovative solutions to the main problems and challenges facing science and agriculture in the 21st century - climate change, environmental protection and sustainable crop production. In climate-smart crop breeding programmes IFVCNS researchers use innovative and high-throughput solutions for the exploitation of the existing and creation of the new genetic variability of field crops, creation of superior genotypes and transfer and implementation of new knowledge and technologies
