Les possessifs en russe et en français : distinction entre la « sphère personnelle » et la « sphère extérieure »

The possession relationship reflects the vision which the man has of the world around him. The lower frequency of the possessive pronouns-adjectives in Russian compared with a language like French is due to the different dimensions of the semantic fields of the personal sphere in both languages. According to our hypothesis, the choice of the possessive is motivated by the degree of attachment to the "object" possessed in the personal sphere of the possessor. Thus, in Russian, the highest degree of this attachment, which is self-evident, requires no specific marker (zero form (ø) before nouns denoting parts of the body, kinship (family relationships, friendships, professional relationships), immediate environment (everyday objects, clothes, etc.) On the contrary, the addition to the personal sphere of the possessor of objects which a priori are exterior to him must necessarily be marked by the possessive pronouns-adjectives. So, Russian possessives are used primarily to attach objects to the personal sphere of the possessor when the context does not imply it. They are used primarily to delineate the space of each possessor, to define the objects that may belong to different possessors. We observed that one of the typological features of Russian is to express possession through belonging, using the verb "to be" rather than the verb "to have", according to the phrase "in X (is) Y". If the belonging relation is used to define the status of the possessed and the possession relationship is used to define the status of the possessor, to speak about belonging rather than possession seems particularly relevant for Russian.La relation possessive reflète la vision que l'homme a du monde qui l'entoure. La moindre fréquence des pronoms-adjectifs possessifs en russe par rapport à une langue comme le français est due aux dimensions différentes des champs sémantiques de la sphère personnelle dans les deux langues. Selon notre hypothèse, le choix du possessif en russe est motivé par le degré de rattachement de l'objet possédé à la sphère personnelle du possesseur. Ainsi, en russe, le plus haut degré d'un tel rattachement étant évident en soi ne nécessite aucun marqueur spécifique (cf. forme ø (zéro) devant les substantifs dénotant les parties du corps, liens de parenté (relations familiales, amicales, professionnelles), entourage immédiat (objets usuels, vêtements, etc.). Au contraire, l'adjonction à la sphère personnelle du possesseur d'objets qui lui sont a priori extérieurs, étrangers, doit obligatoirement être marquée par les pronoms-adjectifs possessifs. Ainsi, les possessifs russes servent surtout à rattacher les objets à la sphère personnelle du possesseur là où le contexte ne le permet pas. Ils sont employés principalement dans le but de délimiter l'espace propre à chaque possesseur, définir les objets pouvant appartenir à des possesseurs différents. Nous avons démontré que l'un des traits typologiques du russe consiste à exprimer la possession par le biais de l'appartenance, en utilisant le verbe « être » plutôt que le verbe « avoir », selon la formule « chez X (est) Y ». Si la relation d'appartenance sert à définir le statut du possédé et la relation de possession celui du possesseur, parler de l'appartenance plutôt que de la possession semble plus particulièrement pertinent pour le russe.Притяжательные отношения отражают восприятие человеком окружающего его мира. Более редкое употребление притяжательных местоимений в русском языке по сравнению с французским объясняется различиями семантических полей, составляющих личную сферу обладателя. Согласно нашей гипотезе, выбор притяжательного местоимения в русском языке зависит от уровня присоединения к личной сфере обладателя предметов обладания. Таким образом, при наивысшей степени данного присоединения, являющегося очевидным, само собой разумеющимся, в русском языке не требуется никакой специфической конструкции (см. отсутствие притяжательного местоимения (нулевая форма) перед существительными, обозначающими части тела, родственные, дружеские профессиональные и другие межличностные связи, а также элементы, входящие в непосредственное окружение обладателя (предметы быта, одеждa, и т.д.). Напротив, присоединение к личной сфере обладателя, внешних, чуждых ему предметов должно быть обязательно подчёркнуто употреблением притяжательных местоимений. Таким образом, русские притяжательные местоимения употребляются с целью присоединения предметов к личной сфере обладателя лишь в тех случаях, когда контекст этого сделать не позволяет. Oни используются в основном для ограничения сферы принадлежности, определения предметов, относящихся к каждому из обладателей. В данной статье мы продемонстрировали, что одной из типологических особенностей русского языка является выражение притяжательности через глагол "быть", а не "иметь", согласно схеме "у Х есть У". Допуская тот факт, что притяжательные отношения определяют статус предметов, тогда как посессивные ставят на первый план обладателя, мы считаем более уместным для русского языка говорить об отношении притяжательности, а не посессивности
