Sugar widely exists in the nature. It plays a key role in various molecular recognition processes. Aiming at probing sugar derivatives and their synthetic study, four series of sugar derivatives were designed and synthesized. The first chapiter described the synthesis of C glycosyl analogues of arbutin, a natural product for whitening skin. The second chapiter is devoted to the synthesis of C glycosyl analogues of vitamin E, with the aim to improve their anti oxidant activity. The third chapiter described the synthesis of photolabile sugars as biochip's basic blocks.
