The main goal of this thesis is to develop innovative and practicaltools for the reconstruction of buildings from images. The typical input to our workis a set of facade images, building footprints, and coarse 3d models reconstructedfrom aerial images. The main steps include the calibration of the photographs,the registration with the coarse 3d model, the recovery of depth and sematicinformation, and the refinement of the coarse 3d model.To achieve this goal, we use computer vision, pattern recognition and computergraphics techniques.
