La presente tesis se centra en analizar y evaluar de una forma cuantitativa y cualitativa el vocabulario cultural de once libros de texto usados con alumnos de segundo de bachillerato en La Rioja. En concreto, se analiza todo el vocabulario cultural del libro de texto exceptuando las actividades de escucha. Para ello, se ha elaborado una lista de categorías culturales adaptada principalmente de aquellas propuestas por Byram y Morgan (1994) y el MCER (2001).
