This thesis examines life and work of Czech actress Dagmar Bláhová (aka Dasha Blaha or Dasa Blahova) focusing on her specialization in pantomimic clownery. The first part draws attention to personalities of directors and actors who determined her artistic career and style, especially to her cooperation with Boleslav Polívka. During that time, Bláhová created a distinctive type of a female clown and thus put herself among first women within Czech theatre history who broke into a rather male domain of clownery. The second part is about life and work of Russian poetess Marina Cvetajeva whom Bláhová referred to as a source of inspiration for creating and staging of a drama called Marina ? Way to the End.
