On présente une revue des travaux récents cherchant à corréler, à l’interface platine/solutions acides les propriétés d’adsorption du métal à sa structure cristalline superficielle pour deux adsorbats majeurs de ce système, l’hydrogène et l’oxygène. Des états d’adsorption inhabituels ont été mis en évidence sur les faces d’électrodes orientées (111) et (100) pour lesquelles l’ordre à grande distance sur ces surfaces contrôle leur existence. Ne connaissant pas de phénomène équivalent à l’interface platine/gaz ces états ont fait l’objet de nombreuses interprétations qui ont conduit à un large développement de l’étude électrochimique du système Pt(hkl)/solution : étude des surfaces à marches, phénomènes de reconstruction en solution, caractéri...
