This view of Monument Circle shows the northern quadrants. Behind the monument and to the left is the English Opera House. The English family home and Circle Hall have been removed to make way for the hotel addition. Upon completion the English Hotel and Opera House filled the northwest quadrant of Monument Circle. Note that the monument does not yet have the sculptures applied to its base. The state capital building is in the background on the left.
