En pandemis påverkan på informationssäkerheten för distansarbetare

This paper aims to increase the knowledge regarding information security for a teleworker and the impact the pandemic has on the information security. To investigate this impact the data gathering method used for this paper is separated into two parts. The first part is interviews with IT administrative personnel and the second part is a survey distributed among employees and personnel at Umeå University. The results from the interviews show that the respondents' perception of the difference between the information security for a teleworker and a campus worker is not that significant because there were people even before the pandemic who teleworked. However, the general knowledge of university guidelines for information security was low. The results from the survey show that the employees think they have good general awareness on information security. Although the results also show that there are employees that do not care about following guidelines and some that think the guidelines are unclear. The conclusion suggests that the compliance to guidelines may be lower than the employees claim and that the employees feel a need for more support and conditions for them to be able to follow the guidelines to a larger extent
