The maize yield reduction in Serbia in 2007 which was near 50% relative to the long-term average, was caused primarily by drought stress at flowering and during the grain filling period. We analyzed some specific location-hybrid relationships for grain yield of NS maize hybrids, representing different maturity groups. We used the results of the post-official trials of NS hybrids evaluated at five location in 2007 (Rimski Šančevi, Pančevo, Sremska Mitrovica, Sombor and Srbobran). The locations showed quite different yielding potentials (from 7.1 t/ha to 11.4 t/ha at locations Sombor and Rimski Šančevi, respectively).
