In the past years, the technological progresses that led to the miniaturization of systems, especially in the field of microelectronic, have deeply changed our energetic approach. Embedded electronic systems are nowadays compatible with low energy consumption even though increasing their density on the same chip still leads to considerable overall energy needs. The question of power supply for such electronic systems has raised research work on micro-energy sources, capable of recovering energy available in the immediate environment of the system.
