Estonian organic land area has more than doubled over the last ten years, reaching 224,161 ha, representing ca 22% of the total agricultural area. This percentage makes Estonia one of the three leading countries in the EU by the share of organic area together with Austria and Sweden. In the European Union the organic area represents ca 8% of the total utilised agricultural area
