The cytogenetic investigation of the experimentally obtained tetraploids of the sowing pea and food beans has been performed. It has been shown, that the low crop of the tetraploids of the sowing pea is not the consequence of the disorders in the meiosis. The data about the inheritance of the quantitative characters of the hybrides of the sowing pea with subspecies elatius and syriacum have been obtained. On the base of the remote hybrides, the new original material has been created for the pea selectionAvailable from VNTIC / VNTIC - Scientific & Technical Information Centre of RussiaSIGLERURussian Federatio
