The machine steel was studied. The purpose was the obtaintion of additional data on the steel jet flow in the vacuum, the development of technological methods, allowing to intensify the jetvacuum processes. New data on the regime of steel jet flow in the vacuum were obtained with consideration of the hydrodynamic factors. It was established that the over-heating of steel determins the regimes of it's flow in the vacuum. The results of investigations were used in a new method for jet vacuum steel refining.
