The generalized data of long standing about biology of five species of the hoofed animals living in the hunting lands of Central Chernozem region have been stated. The theoretical generalization of the accumulated data on the ecology and social organization of the populations has been performed. The detailed analysis of the hoofed animal population in the region has been performed: morphometric characteristics, special features of feeding and composition of feeds, sexual and age structure of populations, character of distribution. The investigation results have been introduced into the practice of keeping the hunting economy in the Central Chernozem region and also are used widely at development of the regional strategy of keeping resources...
