The behaviour of the fundamental absorption edge in LiH*001*00-*00xF*00x solid solutions has been investigated in the paper. The spectrum shift, connected with a hydride exciton zone, has been studied. Particular features of the space location of primary radiation defects in lithium hydride have been analyzed. The growing methodology has been developed and the concentration series of LiH*001*00-*00xF*00x solid solutions has been obtained. The spectral-kinetic plant for the investigation of quick-flowing processes under low temperatures has been made.
