Nickel-, iron- and chromium base alloys with different chemical compositions were investigated in screening tests for their use as corrosion resistant materials in the SCWO-Process (Supercritical Water Oxidation Process) during the oxidation of dichlormethan with H_2O_2. The experimental parameters were 420 C at 400 bar with exposure times of 24 h. Two alloys, the nickel base alloy Hastelloy G-30 and the chromium base alloy Ducrolloy were investigated in more detail.
