Add to ORKGThe purpose of the KfW programme was to make available low-interest, longterm financial resources in order to invest in measures for energy conservation and curbing CO_2 emissions from older residential buildings in western Germany including Berlin (West), as well as for new construction of low-energy buildings across Germany. The publication presents a study into the impact and the results achieved by the programme, showing the programmes contribution to the reduction of energy use-related cutbacks in greenhouse gas emissions, as well as the employment effects in the relevant regional industries through rehabilitation/ improvement measures and new building construction, or through heating system retrofitting work.
