In ihrer Studie untersuchen die Autoren die potentiellen Arbeitsangebotseffekte im Kontext eines Wandels von dem gegenwaertigen deutschen System der Besteuerung verheirateter Paare zu einem System des limitierten Realeinkommensplittings. Als Untersuchungsbasis dient ein oekonometrisches Haushaltsarbeitsangebots-Modell eingebettet in ein Steuerverguenstigungs-Modell. Die Simulationsresultate zeigen relativ geringe Arbeitsangebotseffekte im Zuge des Wechsels des Besteuerungssystems. In dem Szenario eines Wandels zu einer separaten Besteuerung der Ehepartner wuerde das Arbeitsangebot von Frauen in West-Deutschland substantiell ansteigen, waehrend eine bedeutende Anzahl von Ehemaennern aus der Beschaeftigung herausfallen wuerde.
